BD in professional services is not a mystery. But it is frequently treated like one, something that certain people have a gift for and everyone else just has to muddle through.

That's not true, and it's not a useful way to build a firm.

I've spent 25 years in this world. I've led BD functions at some of the largest professional services networks globally and coached everyone from newly promoted associates to senior partners. What I know is this: when people understand BD as a skill rather than a personality trait, and build it in a way that feels genuinely theirs, it stops feeling like an imposition and starts feeling like part of how they work.

That's the shift I help firms make.

How we work together

"She intuitively gets BD and translates that into smart strategies and practical actions."

Olivia Gadd, Executive Coach

“Sarah delivered a business development workshop for our law firm, and her impact was immediate. She brings incredible energy and creativity to every session and has a real talent for making business development feel approachable and authentic, not just another item on the to-do list. I'd highly recommend Sarah to any team looking to bring fresh thinking to business development.”

Emma Richmond, Managing Partner, Whitney Moore

“Sarah has deep knowledge and real world experience of professional services, business development and understands the structures and approaches that work.”

Paul English, CEO, CLA Global
